Around 9 p.m. on Nov. 4, Great Bend police officers responded to a disturbance in the 2400 block of Dike Road.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a deep cut on his forehead, according to a release from the Great Bend Police Department. The victim told police he had been near the river by the North Main bridge when an argument broke out with 30-year-old Tiara Mills-Dotson. During the confrontation, he said Mills-Dotson charged at him and struck him in the head with an unknown object.
A witness later told officers the weapon was a butcher knife, which police recovered at the scene. Mills-Dotson was arrested and booked into the Barton County Jail on charges of aggravated battery and aggravated assault. She is being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
