HAYS — Hoisington's Logan Cossel shot 6-over-par 77 to earn medalist honors at Monday's Hays Thomas More Prep Golf Invitational. Cossel carded birdies at Nos. 2, 3 and 7.

The Cardinals (337) finished three strokes behind Hill City (334) at par 71 Smoky Hill Country Club.

Cardinal Kaidenn Chambers (84) placed seventh. Kobe Crawford (87) tied for 10th place. Bryson Kinman (89) also counted in the team score.

Larned's 13th-place Gavin Collins (89) birdied No. 15 to lead the Indians (397), who placed 10th.
