TOPEKA — No. 6 state-ranked 5A Great Bend (15-3) won two of five matches in Saturday's Topeka Washburn volleyball tournament, stacked with state ranked teams.

The Panthers defeated Washburn Rural 25-21, 25-21 and SM Northwest 25-21, 25-15. Great Bend lost to No. 2 5A Lenexa St. James and No. 3 4A Clay Center.

Panther senior Kya Behr recorded her 1,000 career dig during Saturday's tournament.

Great Bend plays Garden City, Liberal and Hays at home Tuesday.
