DODGE CITY — Great Bend Panther Sammy Fleming parred three holes and placed 17th (103) at Thursday's Dodge City girls golf invitational. Fleming carded pars at Nos. 11, 13 and 18.

The Panthers (467) finished sixth. Also counting were 27th-place Keilee Gerhardt (109), 36th-place Noemi Valenzuela (122) and 42nd-place Carrie Hunt (133).

Garden City's Brooke Savolt placed first on a tiebreaker. She shot 2-under-par 71 with six birdies at Nos. 3, 4, 10, 12, 15 and 18. Wichita East's Aliana Lam shot 2-under 71 with four birdies. Garden City (320) won the team title.

Dodge City's high was 84 degrees with a 10-to-15 mph southeasterly wind.
