Wheatland Electric Cooperative Inc. is inviting the local community to a Power Play – an evening of food, fun and festivities – with the Great Bend Bat Cats at Al Burns Memorial Field on Wednesday, July 15.

Wheatland will be grilling free hamburgers and hot dogs for the first 200 attendees, first-come first-served, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Dollar beer will also be available at the Bat Cats concession stand.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free. The Bat Cats will be playing host to the Hutchinson Monarchs during this home game.

The Bat Cats are playing this summer as part of the Jayhawk Collegiate League, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 summer collegiate baseball league formed in 1976 comprised of 10 Kansas teams.
