HOISINGTON — Dana Camille Stoss, 60, passed away June 28, 2026, surrounded by her family at Hospice House, Hutchinson, Kan. She was born on Sept. 26, 1965, in Great Bend, Kan., to Darrell Edward and Arlene Rae (Lewis) Keener. On Nov. 2, 1991, she married Jerald ‘Jerry’ Stoss at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
A Hoisington resident, Dana was a crop adjuster and homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Dana was also a member of the Great Bend Saddle Club, Kansas Quarter Horse Association, Kansas Western Horseman Association, and Eureka Homestead 4-H. She had a great love of horses and riding them. Dana enjoyed going to the lake and beach, always wanting to see the “blue, clear water.” Her biggest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of the home; son, Luke Keener and wife Joslyn of Olmitz; three sisters, DaLena Keener of Hoisington, Deana Trail of Florida, and Dawn Richardson and husband Terry of Lawrence; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026, with family greeting friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Rosary at 7 p.m., all at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Warren Stecklein. Interment will follow at Walnut Valley Cemetery.
