GriefShare is a grief recovery seminar and support group starting June 2 and continuing through Aug. 25 each Tuesday night from 5:30-7:30 in the Central Baptist Church Parlor, 3301 Lakin Ave., Great Bend.
No matter what the circumstances, grief is a painful, confusing process. A GriefShare group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief, with time to talk, share support and receive guidance on how to deal with daily challenges.
GriefShare features nationally recognized experts on grief recovery topics. Sessions include “Is This Normal?” “The Challenges of Grief,” “Grief and your Relationships,” “Why?” and “Guilt and Anger.”
GriefShare is a weekly video seminar combined with a small group discussion time and a workbook with daily exercises. Participants can attend as many sessions as they are able. Bereavement experience may be recent or not so recent. No matter how long it’s been, this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling.
If you have experienced the death of a family member or friend, you are invited to attend. There is no cost to participate. Pre-registration is helpful, but not required. Visit GriefShare.org or contact the church at centralbaptistgb@gmail.com 620-793-8491.
