Bonnie Mae ‘Pat’ Brackeen

Bonnie Mae ‘Pat’ Brackeen, 91, passed away June 25, 2026, at Riverbend Assisted Living, Great Bend, Kan. She was born on March 9, 1935, in McPherson, Kan., to Bernell and Eula (Goins) Jennings. On Aug. 22, 1954, she married Bob Brackeen in Claflin, Kan. He passed on April 2, 2026.

A recent resident of Great Bend after 22 years in Joplin, Mo., Pat was a retired customer service representative for Western Power and the previous organization titles. She attended services at Grace Community Church, but prior to her move, Pat was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Webb City, Mo. She was a talented artist who made detailed porcelain figurines. Pat was a woman of faith and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include son, Steven Brackeen and wife Wendy of Great Bend; daughter, Cindy Wagner and husband Randy of Grove, Okla.; six granddaughters, Nicole Gardner and husband Ryan, Marcie Mohr and husband Nick, Keri Kaiser and husband Zack, Bobbie Wagner, Charlee Keeton, and Taylor Quezada and husband Emilio; five great-grandsons; and five great-granddaughters; one great-great-grandson; sister, Loretta Sue Atkinson of Little Elm, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years; parents; one great-great granddaughter; three brothers, Bill Jennings, Roy Jennings, and Evertt Jennings; and two sisters, Inez Juby and Dot Allen.

Cremation has taken place and services are pending. Memorials have been designated to Emmanuel Baptist Church or Grace Community Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
