DODGE CITY — Geneva Sue Batson, 97, passed away on Sept. 21, 2026, in Dodge City, Kan. She was born on June 6, 1929 in Great Bend, Kan., to Sammie and Nettie (Keith) Smith.

She worked at Fuller Brush for many years. Geneva married Nathaniel Batson on Oct. 22, 1974. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2020.

Geneva is survived by her sons, Reginald Smith (Sandy) of Clinton Township, Mich., and Martin and Freddie Wilson of Wichita, Kan.; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; parents; a son, Herbert V. Smith; and siblings, Sammie Brown and Willie B. Warren.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Dodge City with Pastor Joel Tuchez presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation will take place. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guestbook at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
