The United Way of Central Kansas is actively engaged in its 2026 campaign, supporting 18 nonprofit partners and providing community impact programs in Barton and Pawnee counties. The Colorado Keys Dueling Pianos performed Saturday in Great Bend at a “Keys to our Community” fundraiser. The evening at the Columbus Club in Great Bend also featured a meal and social hour, as well as silent and live auctions. TR Esfeld was the auctioneer.

John and Amy Tuck, based in Denver, founded the Colorado Keys in 2015 and have appeared at several UWCK fundraisers over the years. They spent the evening taking requests as they performed at two pianos, with John occasionally adding a solo on trumpet or keytar,

Charell Owings, UWCK executive director, talked about the nonprofit agency’s mission. “Your presence here is a testament to the power of community to improve the quality of life for those who need help,” she said.

UWCK continues its annual “Stuff the Bus” campaign from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Ellinwood Family Foods and Dollar General in Ellinwood. People are invited to donate items for Ellinwood area schools and the Ellinwood Heritage Senior Center.
