County Commission, GB council meet Monday

The Barton County Commission will meet Monday morning and the Great Bend City Council will meet Monday evening.

The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main in Great Bend. The meeting will be open to the public but will also be streamed live due to COVID-19. It will be live-streamed through Microsoft Teams. Citizens may view the meeting through their own sign-in or by signing in anonymously.

The agenda includes vacating a portion of NE 70 Road from NE 10 Avenue to NE 20 Avenue, various SPARK funding items and a COVID-19 update from Health Director Karen Winkelman.

The Great Bend City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, at City Hall, 1209 Williams St., but the meeting will be closed to the public because of COVID-19.

The agenda includes the Home for Holiday Festival and Parade, Meadowlark and Lincoln storm box and street repairs and a discussion of boarded windows as a public eyesore.
