Ernie Haase and Signature Sound will present “Land of Hope & Dreams” for the Golden Belt Community Concert Association’s final concert of the season at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 4, in the Great Bend Municipal Auditorium, Lakin and Stone. This will be the fourth concert this world-renowned quartet has performed on the GBCCA stage.

The show is a blend of Americana, patriotic music and hymnody. This concert is dedicated to the memory of Roberta Ahrens of Ellinwood. She left a bequest to the Golden Belt Community Concert Association, and because of her generosity, this entire concert is funded through her very thoughtful gift.

For two decades, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound have been sharing songs of hope around the world in four-part harmony. As gospel music’s premier quartet, Ernie Haase, Doug Anderson, Dustin Doyle, and Paul Harkey step up to their respective mics each night and perform with as much gusto as a burgeoning act.

Consistently topping southern gospel radio charts, the group has earned four Grammy nods, numerous gold and platinum DVDs and six GMA Dove Awards. From singing on the hallowed stages of the Grand Ole Opry and Carnegie Hall, to delivering stirring renditions of the national anthem at NBA games and NASCAR events through the years, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound have also been a beloved fixture at Gaither Homecoming gatherings across the country.

This GBCCA event is open to association members. No single concert tickets are available. Because the association encourages young people’s interest in music and the performing arts, full-time students will be admitted for a $5 donation at the door.

The Golden Belt Community Concert Association and the Great Bend Recreation Commission provide eight handicap parking spaces in front of the northeast entrance of the auditorium for every concert. Blue cones, placed at the curb before each space, designate handicap-only parking. Sunflower’s Catch-a-Ride does not run on weekends, so transportation to this concert will not be provided for Hoisington area residents.
