Ten Great Bend High School music students traveled to Wichita to represent GBHS in the State Honor Choir and State Honor Band at the Kansas Music Educators Association convention held at Century II.
Band members Aaron Ramirez, Madalyn Bonine, Johnny Currall Perez and Jose Alvarez, and choir members Quinton Heath, Leighton Kelly, Ashlynn Pio, Addyson Moore, Phoebe Sperlein and Vianney Rodriguez were chosen. These students auditioned and were selected for their selected groups. The musicians will be featured in concerts Saturday, along with other students from across the state.
Other band and choir members gave the honor band and honor choirs at send-off Wednesday afternoon, marching through the halls of Great Bend High School.
