KDOL’s September Labor report suspended by Federal Shutdown

TOPEKA – Official reports on the Kansas labor market, including September monthly jobs data that had been scheduled for release on Oct. 17, are suspended by the federal government shutdown.

Due to the lapse in funding, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data collection, analysis and dissemination activities were suspended as of Oct. 1. The September jobs report and unemployment data, which would have disseminated preliminary data, will not be published as previously scheduled.
