STAFFORD — “Recently Reading!” What??? What are you talking about? It’s a new book experience that Larabee Library will begin Jan. 21, 2025. Come get together and visit about a book you are reading or have recently enjoyed. Haven’t read one lately and don’t know what to try? Come listen to what other people are enjoying. No fear, No Tears, Just talking books. 5:30-6:30 p.m. Jan. 21st. Spend a fun hour with friends.
• Our Fall Book Challenge is in its final month. There is still time to participate for a fun prize! We will start another challenge in January.
• Monday morning we are looking forward to Preschool Story Hour 10-11 a.m. This will be the last Story Hour until the New Year. We will begin again Jan. 6 at 10 a.m.
• Dec. 21, 9 a.m. to noon, Kids Christmas Carnival at the VFW.
• Jan. 13, 10 a.m. to noon, come and go as needed; we have arranged a “Cookies and Color” event during our Preschool Story Hour. This event is put on by Stafford County Economic Development to visit with people in our county about childcare. They want to hear from Stafford parents, DayCare providers and anyone who cares about the children in our community. What do you need to support you and your children? They have a $25,000 grant to help put ideas to work. Please put this date on your calendar, share the date with friends and come join us to develop a plan to help your family. Be thinking of ideas to share and bring your kids with you. It will be a fun and productive morning. If you are at work at this time or unable to come, share your ideas and needs ahead of time with us so we can contribute your thoughts.
