Larned FD responds to rural structure fire

Fire departments from Great Bend, Pawnee Rock and Garfield provided mutual aid to the Larned Fire Department Monday morning as the LPD responded to a house fire in rural eastern Pawnee County. No injuries were reported. Cause of the fire is under investigation.

LARNED — Larned authorities, including the Larned Fire Department, responded to a reported structure fire at approximately 10 a.m. Monday morning.

The fire was located in the 600 block of Q Road, east of the Pawnee County Laydown in eastern Pawnee County. No injuries were reported; the house was secured and unoccupied at the time of arrival.

Fire departments from Great Bend, Pawnee Rock and Garfield also responded to the scene.

A call to Great Bend for mutual aid was received at approximately 10:25 a.m. and the west station, Fire Station 2, responded with a crew and a tanker.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. More details will be released as they become available.
