The competition offers more than just advice. This year, IGNITE is awarding a total of $95,000 in prize money, with a grand prize of $50,000 for the top winner. Second and third place winners will receive $30,000 and $10,000 respectively, and a special $5,000 People’s Choice Award will also be presented. Beyond the financial rewards, finalists will have the chance to present their ideas live at the historic Crest Theater in downtown Great Bend, gaining exposure and recognition among local leaders, investors, and the community at large.

The journey begins with an online application, available now at www.igniteks.com. Applicants must submit their business plan, a five-minute video pitch, and a signed copy of the official rules by July 1. After the initial review, up to 25 applicants will be selected for one-on-one business planning sessions. From there, 10 semi-finalists will be chosen to advance to the next round, where they’ll receive additional mentorship and prepare for in-person pitches. The excitement culminates on October 9, when the top contenders will compete live for the grand prize.

IGNITE is open to startups and businesses under five years old with 10 or fewer employees. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and ready to launch or grow their business in Great Bend. The competition welcomes both individuals and teams with creative, impactful ideas that can help drive the region’s economic growth.
