STAFFORD — March is going to be a very busy month, with three programs on the schedule. These programs have been at the request of patrons and the interests of many.
March 12 at 3 p.m., “Learning and Living Smart with AI,” given by Jennifer Gleason, will be an informative session for a very important topic that touches all of us whether we support AI or not. AI is here and is being used in our everyday lives so we need to keep informed.
March 24 at 2:30, Alda Hildebrand is going to give a demonstration of strip quilting. We need your reservation for this program and it has a cost of $5. Alda has given me a worksheet that explains step by step the process that we will share with you to follow along with her demonstration. She has also brought in two beautiful, comfy quilts and a sample quilt block. They have gotten Sandy and me very excited about this easy way to make beautiful, usable, comfy quilts of any size. Come in and have a look, examine the quilt block and discover how simple it is, yet beautiful. Then sign up to observe how to make one of your own design. It’s so simple I, believe I can combine two loves of mine – quilting while listening to an audio book!!
March 31 at 2:30 we will have a workshop and hands-on experience with flowers. Baley Doggett of K-State Extension has arranged a Zoom meeting with a K-State Horticultural Specialist to help us grow and care for our floral plants. There will be a 30-minute presentation and time for questions about your flower care to follow. An exciting ending to the program will be a chance for everyone to arrange flowers. This program will require a reservation and a small fee to cover the cost of flowers.
