STAFFORD — We will be closed Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1st. We hope this doesn’t create a problem and Sandy and I wish you all a Merry Christmas

and Happy New Year!

We had a fun evening making Christmas Cards on Thursday with Laura Davis of The Paper Hen. Laura has cards for every occasion and conducts classes throughout the year. Some interest was shown to meet once a month and construct cards. I know many of us don’t take the time to send cards anymore but that is always a hope of mine to reach out to others.

These are not just cards – they are little pieces of art personally crafted by you. If you would be interested in participating monthly let me know and we’ll get something set up. It really is all about getting together, having many laughs and going home with four exquisite cards to share with others or to use as decor.

We are still gathering hygiene items for the school until after the holidays.

Jan. 2 we will start a new book challenge. We have added many new books to our adult, large print and children’s collection. Stop in and peruse the shelves or check out our collections at https://www.librarycat.org/lib/NoraLarabeeLibrary . Remember, we can get about any book for you with Interlibrary Loan or by signing you up on the State Library card.

Our next “Recently Read” will be Jan. 27 at 5:30 p.m. It is a great time to visit books and find new authors.
