The next Great Bend City Council meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 2, at City Hall. The meeting will also be livestreamed for the public to view on the city council Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/gbcitycouncil/.

Public Works Director Jason Cauley will recommend that the council approve a bid of $49,120 from Mayer Speciality Services for the repair and rehabilitation of 14 manholes and boxes in the sanitary sewer system. Mayer Speciality Services provided the only offer the City received for this service, according to agenda materials. “We have a long-standing relationship with Mayer as they are the only company in the region that performs this work.”

Other items on Monday’s agenda are the 2024 audit report, the Region E Hazard Mitigation Plan and an airport runway grant application.

After the agenda meeting, there will be a work session on 2025 agency budget requests.
