Barton County’s Emergency Management department reminds the public that Severe Weather Preparedness Week will be March 2-6. Citizens are encouraged to actively participate in the State-Wide Tornado Drill, scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 4. In addition, Storm Fury on the Plains will be presented by the National Weather Service Wichita Office at 6:30 p.m. on March 4 at the Crest Theater, 1905 Lakin Ave., Great Bend.
