Kathie Luke, pastor of First Presbyterian in Great Bend; Angela Chill, director of the Dream Center; and Elizabeth Pearson, program manager.

Recently, the Deacons of the Presbyterian Church gave a monetary gift to the Central Kansas Dream Center in Great Bend to be used for the Center’s Thanksgiving Dinner.

The church has had a tradition of giving Thanksgiving baskets to the needy of Great Bend, but with the COVID-19  pandemic changing contact dynamics, the church had decided to use those funds for a Thanksgiving donation to the Dream Center. Making the presentation this year was the pastor of the church, the Rev. Kathie Luke accompanied by two members of the Deacons, Nancy Scheutz, Deacon chairman, and Carol Woodmansee. Receiving the gift for the Dream Center were its Director Angela Chill and its Program Manager Elizabeth Pearson.

Each year the Dream center holds a Thanksgiving Dinner for its residents and the community they serve.
