The 20th Annual Prince of Peace Youth Benefit Golf Tournament was held on Friday, Oct. 3 at the Lake Barton Golf Club. Before the tournament began, a moment of silence was held in honor of Hays Police Sgt. Scott Heimann, who was killed in the line of duty, followed by a prayer led by Laken Rudolph, director of religious education. Proceeds from the tournament help fund youth programs, service projects and scholarships. A meal sponsored by the Daughters of Isabella Circle #744 and prepared by the Knights of Columbus followed the tournament. The Daughters of Isabella also donated $100 for a hole sponsorship.
