Monday, Jan. 6 was scheduled as a teacher work day with no classes at Great Bend Public School. Due to the weather, USD 428 canceled the teacher work day as well, giving staff time to clear the sidewalks and parking lots. Those who chose to come in and work in their classrooms were asked to give the custodians, grounds, and maintenance until noon before coming into the buildings. Also, everyone was urged to exercise caution. 

As of Monday morning, USD 428 was planning for school to be in session as planned on Tuesday, Jan. 7. 

The USD 428 District Office will be open under “snow day” protocol. Employees are asked to please reach out to your immediate supervisor with any questions.
