The Kansas Department of Transportation expects to begin a sign upgrade project on major collectors in Barton County south of K-96 the week of Aug. 4.

The project will improve sign visibility in the area. This is a mobile operation, and traffic will flow as normal.

KDOT awarded the $69,542 construction contract to Sign-Up LTD, doing business as Haren’s Trees and Critters of Webster City, Iowa. Work should be complete by mid-August, conditions permitting.

For current road conditions, motorists can visit kandrive.gov or call 511. For updates on construction projects in South Central Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/projects/south-central-kansas-projects.
