To honor the veterans in our community and thank them for serving, The University of Kansas Health System in Great Bend extends an invitation to all veterans to enjoy a free breakfast on Veterans Day. 

“Veterans are the cornerstone of the freedoms we hold dear in our country,” said John Worden, Great Bend Campus administrator. “We are proud to sponsor this event as a way for our health system team to show its appreciation for the dedication, courage and sacrifice of those who have served our country.”

Veterans who served in any branch of service are invited to join their fellow vets for a free breakfast 7-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, in the Burnside Room at Great Bend Recreation Center, 1214 Stone Street, in Great Bend. Use the northwest entrance of the rec center to get to the Burnside Room.
