Great Bend Masonic Lodge  No. 15 and The Isis Sunflower Shrine Club will host an unforgettable night of basketball, laughter, and community spirit as the world famous Harlem Wizards take the court at Great Bend High School on Thursday, April 16. Doors open at 6 p.m. Game time is 7 p.m.

In this high-energy, family friendly event, the Harlem Wizards will face off against the Great Bend Fire Department. Fans can expect dazzling trick shots, thunderous slam dunks, hilarious comedy, and nonstop crowd interaction. Best of all, all proceeds benefit the local community.

More than a basketball game, a Harlem Wizards event is a fully interactive show. The Wizards combine participation that keeps fans of all ages engaged from the start to finish.

Kids wearing a Harlem Wizards jersey will be invited onto the court for pre-game warmups, and throughout the game the crowd will have chances to take part in the contests and on-court fun.

Legacy of hoops, heart

Since 1962, the Harlem Wizards have played over 15,000 games worldwide, raising more than $25 million for community organizations. Basketball legends such as Connie Hawkins and Marques Haynes once wore the Wizards uniform, and today’s stars – including Eric “Broadway” Jones, Dwayne “Swoop” Simpson, and Lamarvin “Showtime” Jackson – continue that proud tradition of entertainment and service.
