RICHMOND, Va. -- Lakota Schultz of the Barton Community College women's cross-country team finished 84th Saturday at the NJCAA Division I Championships.

The sophomore was the lone Barton entry in the 100-competitor field at Pole Green Park in Richmond, Virginia, crossing the 5k line in 19:57.9.

Schultz, along with her long distance teammates, will now join the track and field program in preparation for the indoor season with a scrimmage meet November 20 at Kansas State University before officially beginning the competition slate in January.
