LARNED — Larned pitcher Jadyn Crosby threw four innings and drove home four runs with a pair of doubles to spark the Indians past Ellis 13-2 in Friday's second softball game. Ellis won the opener 3-2.

Larned (7-13) drops Ellis to a 9-9 record.

LARNED 13, ELLIS 2 (G2) — Crosby delivered a 2-run single and a pair of RBI doubles. Crosby (6-8) struck out five batters.

Jillian Hagerman and Brooke Simmons each hit a pair of RBI singles. Brileigh Stahlecker hit an RBI double, Gillian Smith hit an RBI single and Kendra Marvin hit an RBI grounder.

ELLIS 3, LARNED 2 (G1) — Crosby (5-8) was tagged with a hard-luck loss despite 10 strikeouts.

Ellis' Kia Mader doubled home Chloe Gillespie to spark a 3-run first inning. Mader and Maggie Downing scored on Rylan Asehenbrenner's single.

Simmons scored on Hagerman's fourth inning single. Hagerman scored on a seventh-inning passed ball.
