The Pawnee County Fair Association has booked singer-songwriter Logan Mize to perform on Friday, July 25. The show starts at 9 p.m. at the Pawnee County Fair Grounds Arena. The country music performer said of that upcoming show, “We’re going to have fun.”
Concert tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids 5-14 years old, and kids 4 and under will be admitted for free. Tickets are sold online. Go to the Pawnee County Fair Facebook page and scan the QR code. They can also be ordered online at LoganMize.com.
Mize recently released “Open Road,” an extended play (EP) recording with six new songs, including the title track, and is hitting several Kansas venues for his 2025 Open Road Tour. For the show in Larned, he won’t bring his band but will perform his songs while playing guitar and piano. He confided he enjoys playing at these smaller “acoustic” venues. “It’s more intimate.”
“I’m excited to be out playing these venues,” he said. “I always enjoy anywhere we play,” but added he especially enjoyed rural venues.
A Kansas native, Mize grew up in rural Sumner and Sedgwick counties and after 13 years in Nashville moved back to Andale, where he resides with his wife Jill and children Lincoln and Violet. According to his website, LoganMize.com, his studio and merchandise shop sits between the post office and liquor store in downtown Andale, just a few minutes from his home. When he’s not writing, recording or touring, Mize helps out on the family farm and loves coaching his kids’ sports teams. Several music videos and countless social media posts have been captured in and around Andale, giving followers an unfiltered view into the authentic life of a small-town kid turned singer-songwriter.
The songs on “Open Road” were written by Mize, “with some good buddies from Nashville,” he said. It was produced by Randy Montana.
In 2021, Mize celebrated his first RIAA Certified Gold Record, “Better Off Gone,” when it garnered over 100 million streams since its release in 2017. The 2021 single “Grew Apart” was recently certified as his second RIAA Gold Record. He’s logged over 350 million streams and toured across America, Canada and Europe.
