A spokesperson for Wheatland Electric provided information about a power outage that was reported around 6:15 a.m. on Jan. 6.
“Earlier Monday morning, winter weather conditions caused a brief outage affecting 539 meters in the City of Great Bend. Thanks to the quick response and dedication of our linemen, power was restored in under an hour and a half,” stated Alli Conine, Director of Member Services and Corporate Communications at Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc.
“We are incredibly proud of our team, who work tirelessly during challenging weather events to ensure power is restored as quickly and safely as possible. Winter weather presents unique challenges, but our linemen rise to the occasion, often braving freezing temperatures and icy conditions to keep the lights on for our members.”
