Stafford County OKs area budgets

These are the unapproved draft minutes from the April 24 Stafford County Commission meeting.

The Stafford County Board of County Commissioners met on Wednesday, April 24, in the Commission Room in the Annex. Commissioner Wycoff called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Present: Todd Wycoff, Jim Stanford, and Bryce Garner.

Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to approve the minutes of the April 17th session. Motion carried 3-0.

Commissioner Wycoff recessed the meeting at 8:45 a.m. Chairman Wycoff reconvened the meeting at 9 a.m.

Marissa Woodmansee with the 20th Judicial District Juvenile Services met with the commissioners to present the 2025 budget request. Marissa reviewed the points of the program’s case plan format. Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to approve the 2025 budget as presented and authorize its submission to the Kansas Department of Corrections – Juvenile Services. Motion carried 3-0.

Brooke Haulmark with Central Kansas Community Corrections presented information regarding the 2025 Adult Agency Case Plan. She highlighted the evidence-based principles of this plan. Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded to approve the 2025 budget as presented and authorize its submission to the Kansas Department of Corrections for Behavioral Health Programming and Assistance. Motion carried 3-0.

Lisa Weber, County Clerk, went over the new credit card program. County credit cards are still through SJN Bank but with a new servicing company. Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to approve the new credit card policy. Motion carried 3-0.

During the meeting accounts payable vouchers and checks were reviewed and signed from the following funds:

Road & Bridge - $194,109.48 

E911 -  $328.12

TOTAL - $194,437.60

The meeting was adjourned at 10:05 a.m.
