The Ellinwood High School Student Council has chosen Steve Fisher as the recipient of the prestigious Eagle Fan of the Year award for 2026. 

The Eagle Fan of the Year Award signifies those in the community that are ever present for the Ellinwood Eagles. The recipients of this award embody the passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our athletes and teams.

Steve’s dedication to Ellinwood athletics started as a youth, competing as an athlete and graduating from Ellinwood High School in 1958. Steve also raised his three children in Ellinwood, supporting Ellinwood athletics and activities as a parent. He continued to support Ellinwood alongside his late wife Eileen who served as the Athletic Director secretary for many years. Steve has always held a strong pride in Ellinwood. He may not always be the loudest voice in the crowd, but you can find him at every home game and often traveling to away games. Providing that constant support that is needed to push for excellence. He has been known to give private, genuine encouragement to Ellinwood teams.
