HUTCHINSON — Jessica M. Eye, 47, passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at her home in Hutchinson, Kan., surrounded by her family. Jessica was born on May 14, 1979, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Gerald Heiderscheit and Beverly (Davis) Rowland.

Jessica graduated from Great Bend High School in 1997 and attended Barton County Community College. Jessica owned Eye on Christ Day Care and was a daycare provider for 20 years. She later worked as a realtor for various agencies.

Jessica was a very talented and creative artist. She enjoyed all forms of artwork, especially painting, drawing, and even bedazzling her art tools. She was a very independent person who loved spending time outdoors and near the water—although she could certainly do without all the bugs!

Jessica was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Rowland. Survivors include her children, Alexandrea (Casey) Combs, Gabriel Eye, Isabelle Eye, Annabelle Eye, Jeremiah Eye; her children’s father, Michael Eye of 23 years; siblings, Tiffany (Nathan) Bailey, Gerald (Joni) Heiderscheit Jr., Cassandra (Daniel) White; grandchildren, Emersyn Combs and one boy on the way.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026, at Crosspoint Church, 1410 E 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502, with Pastors Andy Addis and Porfirio Ramirez officiating. Memorials may be made out to Gabriel Eye, to help with future family expenses, and can be sent in care of the Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave Hutchinson, KS 67502.
