ELLINWOOD -- Alyvia Batchman has been a key piece of Ellinwood's rise to one of the premier programs in Class 2A, culminating with a perfect 47-0 record and a state championship last fall.

The 5-foot-6 senior setter/outside hitter earned Central Prairie League, KVA First Team All-State, and State All-Tournament honors.

She delivered 177 winners, 547 assists, 206 digs, and 72 aces during her junior campaign.

“I'm very excited to see what this team can do this season,” Batchman said. “We have already accomplished the ultimate goal and have our sights set on doing it again.”

Entering her final season, Batchman has compiled 1,277 career assists, 552 digs, 468 kills, and 149 aces while helping the Eagles progress from a fourth-place state finish as a sophomore to an undefeated state title as a junior.

Batchman has also been a standout on the basketball court, earning Central Prairie League, Sports in Kansas Second Team All-State, and multiple all-state honorable mention honors.

She helped Ellinwood finish as the 2A state runner-up last season. With championship experience, versatility, and leadership, she will once again play a major role as the Eagles look to defend their Class 2A volleyball title.
