The Kansas Department of Commerce will announce its sixth round of Historic Economic Asset Lifeline (HEAL) awards Friday in Topeka. More than $1.3 million will be awarded.
The event will take place from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on May 15 in Room 360 of the Docking Building, 915 SW Harrison St., Topeka.
HEAL Grant is a grant program administered by the Office of Rural Prosperity in the Kansas Department of Commerce that provides matching funds for downtown building renovation projects. HEAL focuses on projects that show potential as economic drivers in Kansas for new or expanding businesses, housing, arts and culture, civic engagement, childcare, and entrepreneurship.
Local awardees include Great Bend Alive and Russell County.
