ST. JOHN — These are the approved minutes from the Stafford County Board of County Commissioner meeting.
The Stafford County Board of County Commissioners met on Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the Commission Room in the Annex. Chairman
Stanford called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Present Jim Stanford, Bryce Garner and Todd Wycoff.
County Commissioners convened as the Stafford County Board of Canvass. Results of the Nov. 4, City School General Election were reviewed. There were 18 provisional ballots presented for consideration. Thirteen ballots were counted as valid and added to the final election results.
Commissioner Gamer moved, and Commissioner Wycoff seconded, to certify the final election results and sign the Election Abstracts. Motion carried 3-0. Commissioners adjourned as the Board of Canvass at 8·48 a.m.
County Commissioners opened in regular session at 8:48 a.m.
Trent Harman, Road Department Supervisor, joined the meeting to present Road Crossing Permit #20251112 for Ty Cornwell at NW 80th Ave and NW 70th St. Commissioner Garner motioned to approve Road Crossing Permrt #20251112. Commissioner Wycoff seconded. Motion carries 3-0.
Trent Harman then presented quotes for three John Deere Flex Wing mowers from BTI for $34,000 each. The quote included Trade-In Values for the mowers to be replaced at $14,000 apiece. Commissioner Garner motioned to approve the quote to trade in three mowers and purchase three mowers for the difference total of $60,000. Commissioner Wycoff seconded. Motion carried 3-0. Discussion was then held on the current goings-on in the Road Department and the status of winterizing preparation.
Commissioner Garner motioned to approve the minutes of the Nov. 5, meeting. Commissioner Wycoff seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
Commissioner Garner motioned to approve the contract with Kirkham Michael for Professional Engineering Services for the Preliminary Report for Potential Water Line Diversion. Commissioner Wycoff seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
