Public hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 7, for BC Solid Waste Management Plan

Tuesday’s regular meeting of the Barton County Commission will start with a public hearing on the Solid Waste Management Plan. Solid Waste Director Jennifer Hamby will present details at this hearing, which is for the purpose of evaluating the plan for Barton County.

The meeting is set for 9 a.m. in Suite 106 at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main, Great Bend. It will also be live-streamed through Microsoft Teams at https://bit.ly/4mitAOw. Anyone who wishes to participate in the discussion of any item is asked to call 620-793-1800 for instructions.

Other items on the agenda are approving the resolution adopting the Solid Waste Management Plan, and extending a lease agreement for five acres from Kirby and Linda Linsner for Road and Bridge storage.
